Overview
Sweet Cakes & Confectioners is an independent baker in Kampala. Mondi built a website to showcase her cakes and help market them online, and has since been rebuilding it as a simpler, static catalogue.
The challenge
An independent baker doesn't need a full online store with prices and checkout — she needs a way for people to browse her cakes and reach her directly to place an order.
The solution
The current rebuild is a static, browsing-focused catalogue inspired by the scan-and-tap experience of local marketplace apps, with no prices or categories shown up front. Every cake links out to WhatsApp with the cake's details already filled into the message, so ordering starts as a direct conversation rather than a form.
